Hi All,

We hope you had a great first week back on court!

Here are a few important updates and reminders as we settle into the season:

General Reminders:

  • Please do not arrive before 4pm, the courts are closed for cleaning until 4pm. Please arrive after this time, to allow staff to complete necessary preparations

  • Children Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All children, including those on the court, must be supervised by an adult at all times

  • Please no bouncing basketball around the courts while there are games in progress; This is both a safety and a distraction issue. A ball rolling onto the court can cause injuries and the noise is disruptive to players, referees, scorers, staff and spectators.

  • The seats next to the score benches are for players when they are subbed off. This helps coaches manage subs efficiently. Please ensure family members do not sit on the team bench.

  • Respect for Referees & Officials: If your referee is wearing a green lanyard, this means they are under 18 and still developing as a referee. You must never approach referees, especially those with a green lanyard, as they are children learning the role. If you have any concerns about a referee, coach, or spectator behavior, please come to the WBA office, on court 2 during the game or look for the referee supervisor in hi-vis who is always around the courts.
