WBA – How to Raise a Concern Confidentially
Hi All,
We just wanted to remind our community that if you ever have a concern, there are a number of ways that you can reach out to us.
We understand that some matters can feel really difficult or uncomfortable to raise, particularly when your children are involved and we want people to know that concerns can be handled sensitively and confidentially.
Our staff and Board members are all expected to follow Basketball Victoria Codes of Conduct and respect the privacy and confidentiality of the people involved.
If you would prefer to speak with someone directly, you can contact:
Madi Zago – Operations Manager
This email address is only accessed by Madi.
Carly Carr – Child Safety Officer
Mobile: 0422 666 946
Our usual complaints process is also available for anyone wishing to lodge a formal complaint. https://forms.gle/1MkQsyB8mW4wHRwb6
Complaints & Grievances policy: c632ff_926cdac6db604879a60252ebfc5e7463.pdf
We encourage people to give us as much information as they can when raising a concern. Things like what happened, when it happened, who was involved and any specific examples. This helps us understand the situation properly and gives us something that we can actually follow up.
Anonymous concerns will still be read and taken on board as feedback. It is very difficult for us to investigate something properly when we have no way of contacting the person who raised it to ask further questions or clarify what has happened.
If something doesn’t feel right, especially where the safety or wellbeing of a child is concerned, please reach out. We would always rather have a conversation and be given the opportunity to look into something properly than have someone feel like they can’t come to us.
Thank you for helping us keep Wodonga Basketball a safe, respectful and supportive place for our players, families, coaches and volunteers.
